"I had the honour of working with Rod Holiday of Salix Resource Management LTD. and Jay Leendertse of Northwind Land Resource Inc. We worked together in the Blood Tribe Timber limits, which is on my reservation. I worked with them as an environmental assistant for Loyal energy. We built salamander fences, we walked the pipeline right of way and checked for bear dens and checked for endangered plants. We also checked for amphibians such as salamanders, frogs etc. I enjoyed working with Rod and Jay, they were very respectful of the land and take a lot of pride in their work. I learned a lot from them about environmental work and enjoyed the experience. They are very knowledgeable in their fields of expertise. I would be honored to work with them again any day in the future, as I now call them friends."Mike Scout Blood Tribe Standoff AB Canada
"I am writing this letter to recommend the services of Salix Resource Management Ltd. (Salix). Salix has been working with Canadian Natural since 2005; I have been working with them directly since 2014. Salix currently manages one of our busiest reclamation/remediation portfolios and is always exceeding expectations and providing outstanding service. I am always confident in their work and have full trust in their professional expertise. They are always quick to think outside the box when new or challenging situations arise. Everything from invoicing, updates and project management to stakeholder engagement is done with care and attention, making them very easy to work with.I look forward to working with Salix for many years to come "Kayley du Plessix, ATT, MSc Canadian Natural Resources Limited
"In 2020, I had the pleasure of working with a team of biologists from Salix and Northwind. The project required the completion of the Indian Oil and Gas Canada (IOGC) Environmental Review Form (ERF), associated reporting and necessary field assessments for a proposed pipeline on the Blood Timber Limits near Waterton National Park. (statement deleted) The biologists’ collaboration with Elders, Nation members and industry experts was a critical component in the success of the project. The work was completed with respect and professionalism. The team addressed soils, plants and wildlife concerns in a very biodiverse ecological setting. They identified animal and plant / species of concern that could be impacted by the project and discussed their findings with Nation members. The ERF report was completed, reviewed by IOGC and approval for a Right of Way Agreement was granted. I look forward to working with this team on future First Nations or other environmentally sensitive projects."Rod Keller, ATP, NFDPresident, Advance Energy Ltd.

"Environmental issues continue to have an ever-increasing prominence in resource industry related operations. Smaller corporations, the type that I enjoy working with, typically do not have the internal resources to address these regulatory requirements. In addition to the usual ESA and remediation/reclamation activities, Salix provides outstanding service in dealing with unique situations. Their highly qualified personnel conduct spill response/delineation, pre-construction assessments, pre-acquisition environmental liability assessments, wildlife sweeps, FWMIS submissions, IOGC Environmental Audits, groundwater monitoring, etc. Also, the office staff prepare reports/applications that are professionally composed, well documented, appropriate in extent for the particular situation and completed in a timely manner. Cost control/tracking and project status are provided in a concise, user-friendly manner that benefits all parties who utilize them. The professional staff and principals at Salix are well respected by the various Government Regulators which is crucial to resolving unique environmental challenges."Rod Keller, ATP, NFDPresident, Advance Energy Ltd.
